About us

Casa Guardia at the beach is Enrique and Karin Guardia's home, two retired ocean lovers who enjoy good wine and music. After a wonderful life lived in different cities like New York, Barcelona, Brussels, Paris, and many more, they decided to settle in Playa Blanca Panama, The Panama paradise ... "His Paradise as they call it."

In 2010 they decided to share their home with travelers and what is born today: Casa Guardia at the beach - boutique hotel. Come and enjoy these lovely people who share their stories with their guests at breakfast and love to talk and meet adventurous people from different countries.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do you have "day passes"?

A: No, right now we are interested in limiting the number of people using the facilities.

Q: What time is check-in / check-out?

A: Our check-in time is 3 pm and our check-out time is 1 pm.

Q: Can we check-in early/check-out late?

A: Our guests from the prior night check out at 1 pm.  You are welcome to come after 1 pm if you want to enjoy the facilities but please note that our room may not be ready until 3 pm.  Also, if you would like to stay later, we may need you to be out of your room by 1 pm so we can prepare the room for our next guests, but you can use the facilities until shortly before 3 pm when the next guests are due to check-in.  On busy holidays and weekends when parking is limited we would need you to arrive and leave at the scheduled times.  Thanks!

Q: Can we bring our own food and drinks?

A: Yes, you are welcome to bring food and drinks to enjoy while you are here.  We allow coolers, we just ask that there be no glass bottles or glasses near the pool/rancho area.  If you would like to drink your beverages there please bring cans or plastic.

Q: Is breakfast included in the room price?

A: Yes, breakfast is included and it is served from 8 am to 10 am in the morning.  Breakfast includes coffee, tea, fruit juices, cereal, bread, jams, eggs, ham, chorizo, cheese, hot chocolate, and more.

Q Can we cook our own food?

A: Yes, Casa Guardia has an area with several charcoal grills available.  There are electric burners, an electric skillet, and pots and pans for cooking.  There are utensils to use for cooking and a microwave oven.

Q: Are there restaurants nearby?

A: Yes.  The chef who ran the restaurant (now closed) at Casa Guardia has a restaurant nearby called Cokoblue.  He offers delivery to our location for lunch or dinner as desired.  Additional nearby restaurants include: Nico's Beach, Pipas Beach, Calola Pizza & Lounge, Xoco (8min) El Galeon (10 min),  Los Camisones (15 min)

Q Do you accept pets?

A: No, we do not take pets, even really small ones.

Q: Are you taking reservations for weddings?

A:  At this time we are not.  The Casa Guardia property is currently for sale and weddings are usually planned far in advance.  Although the property may not sell for some time, we do not want to be in a position if the property sells, to disappoint a bride and groom on such an important occasion.  For this reason, we are not taking reservations

Q: How can I get information about Casa Guardia's sale?

A: For more information please contact Alberto Quiros at +507 6615-4740 or doctorturismo@gmail.com
